Fire alarm systems

What are fire protection systems?

Fire alarm systems  have been developed a lot in recent times, becoming extremely sophisticated and much safer in operation. They are designed to meet two major general requirements: protecting property and goods and protecting life. Fire systems  work on the same principle. If a sensor detects smoke or an increase in temperature or if someone breaks the unit's protective glass, then sirens start sounding to warn people in the building of a fire and the need to evacuate the building. The functioning of a fire alarm system starts from its components. Thus, you need a control panel to which you will add a number of smoke and/or temperature sensors, warning buttons and sirens, all of these accessories being connected to the central control panel.

The category of fire alarm systems includes both conventional and addressable systems . Within each type of system you can identify the dedicated sensors that work with the respective model of addressable or conventional control panel. The way the two types of systems work is slightly different, it is necessary for a specialized company to design your project to meet the exact needs of the respective space. The mandatory European standard for fire systems is EN 54, through which a series of technical standards are incorporated. This standard is held by all Unipos products. It is important to note that only products that meet this standard benefit from the European certificate of conformity, as there are numerous non-standard products on the market.
